MX5 Big Brake Upgrade kit for NA6
Big brake kit for NA6. This kit upgrades the small 1.6 brakes to the next size-up brakes from an NA8/NB1 (please enquire if you are after NB2 brakes which are even bigger). This is a common swap that uses OEM parts to give you a bigger rotor and brake pad to give you more stopping power and resist the heat from hard driving better.
The essential part of the big brake kit is the brackets. The NA8/NB1 retains the same caliper as the NA6 but uses a bigger bracket (also called carrier) to accommodate a bigger brake pad and rotor.
We recommend new pads and rotors at a minimum, but it is a good time to refresh brake lines and calipers too. We can provide a kit to suit your needs. If you aren’t sure what direction is best for you, please get in touch.
If purchasing a kit with new pads and rotors, Dixcel EC comes as the standard pad compound, with Brembo or Techstop rotors (stock dependent).
